Prof. Dr. Oliver Nebel
studierte Geologie/Paläontologie in Münster und promovierte dort anschliessend über Hochpräzisionsmessungen von radiogenen und stabilen Isotopen in Hochtempe
raturgesteinen. Nach drei Jahren Postdoc an der Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam wechselte Nebel als Reseach Fellow an die Australian National University in Canberra, Australien. Seit 2015 ist Oliver Nebel als Associate Professor an der Monash University in Melbourne tätig, wo er das Isotopia Laboratory gründete und leitet. Nebel hat grundlegende Arbeiten zur isotopischen Entwicklung von Vulkanquellen erstellt und forscht an der Interaktion der Erdkruste mit dem Erdmantel, insbesondere im ozeanischen Bereich.
