At GEOMAR, around 140 postdoctoral researchers from 35 countries work on fixed-term research projects across various fields of marine sciences.

Postdocs are researchers in the first six years after completing their doctorate, focusing on establishing their careers. Associate Researchers are researchers with who have been working in science for more than six years after completing their doctorate.

The Postdoc Plus Team represents all postdoctoral researchers on fixed-term contracts.

The PACT Postdoc Center provides targeted support for postdoctoral researchers in planning their careers.
