Research Infrastructure
GEOMAR provides a state-of-the-art infrastructure for cutting-edge marine research. In addition to two research vessels, GEOMAR operates deep-sea underwater vehicles (ROV KIEL 6000, ROV PHOCA), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) as well as various long-term observatories. Outstanding research facilities are available in the form of laboratories for isotope analysis, access to powerful high-performance computational facilities and one of the largest marine research libraries in Germany.
