General remarks

General lecture period summer semester 2024: 15.04.2024 to 12.07.2024 (with winter semester 2023/2024, 2nd exam period: 02.04. - 13.04.2024 (link CAU) - In accordance with the CAU's examination procedure regulations, there are no courses in bachelor's and master's degree programs during the examination periods (few exceptions for first semester students)).

There is no general registration for courses - only for the exams at the end of the semester during registration phases (s.b.).

Examinations:

Typical examination procedure:     

  1. Examination registration: You register for the examinations that you would like to take in the next examination period or that are assigned to the next examination period (s.b. Examination Organisation Online (CAU)). In case of registration problems contact the Examination Office Biology.

    During the registration period for the 1st examination period please register for all the written or oral examinations you would like to take in the 1st examination period (or around and assigned to the 1st examination period), but also for the examinations that you have already taken or started (e.g. seminar papers) during the lecture period (including before the registration period), as well as for examinations (e.g. assignments) that are to be taken during the lecture-free period.

    Note: For examinations taken before the registration period, examination attendance is considered as binding registration. You must also register for these examinations during the registration period, however, so that your academic achievements can be recorded in the system at a later stage.

  2. Checking admission: Two days before the start of the examination period, you check whether you have been granted admission to the examinations you have registered for.
  3. Examination attendance: You take the examinations during the examination period.
  4. Checking results: You check the results entered by the examiners.

Keep in mind - it's your responsibility not to miss any fixed dates and/or deadlines.

Practical courses, practical exercises and some seminars have compulsory attendance (FPO).

Make sure that you sign the attendance list every course day!

Framework of courses:

  1. All of the five first semester modules are compulsory.
  2. Passed core modules of the first semester (MNF-bioc-101 and MNF-bioc-102) are important for the understanding for the advanced modules of the second semester in summer (e.g. MNF-bioc-201 and MNF-bioc-202).
  3. Passed exams of ALL compulsory modules of first and second semester are the  indispensable prerequisite for the exam of the core module of third semester in winter (MNF-bioc-301).
  4. A short presentation of your planned master's thesis ("proposal day") and a passed exam at the end of MNF-bioc-301 is the prerequisite to register your thesis (MNF-bioc-401) at the examination office.

Considerations concerning using first or second exam phase (CAU).

Exams are generally scheduled only for the semester where the modules are taught.

  • There are no exams for winter semester modules MNF-bioc-1xx and MNF-bioc-3xx in summer semester.
  • There are no exams for summer semester modules MNF-bioc-2xx in winter semester.

MSc. Biological Oceanography - second semester - lecture plan summer semester 2024 (click on "Stundenplan" for a complete time table).  All seven different possible practical parts in three blocks of MNF-bioc-202 are shown which looks heavily loaded - but you have to choose only two resp. three non overlapping parts.

Inhalt
Das Verhältnis des Christentums zum Judentum als seiner Wurzel ist durch eine wechselvolle Geschichte gekennzeichnet, in der Abgrenzung und Abwertung, Hass und Gewalt, die in der Shoa gipfelten, eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Mitverantwortlich dafür waren durchaus auch antijudaistische Überzeugungen und Denkfiguren in der evangelischen Theologie. Auch heute ist das theologische Denken, Reden und Handeln nicht frei von antijudaistischen Stereotypen und Denkmustern, die häufig nicht einmal bemerkt und reflektiert werden. Dies gilt insbesondere auch für den Religionsunterricht und die Predigt. Vor diesem Hintergrund möchte dieses Lernangebot, basierend auf einer Ringvorlesung im letzten Semester, einen selbstkritischen Beitrag zur Sensibilisierung für Antijudaismen leisten und ein vertieftes Verstehen ihrer Hintergründe und Traditionen ermöglichen. Die unterschiedlichen theologischen Disziplinen stellen exemplarisch wichtige Wurzeln antijudaistischen Gedankengutes dar und beleuchten ausgewählte Konstellationen und Theorien eines problematischen Umgangs mit dem Judentum. Der Kurs umfasst die Rezeption der Vorträge sowie die Erarbeitung der gestellten Aufgaben auf der Basis der angegebenen Lektüre. Er kann in verschiedenen Studiengängen als Übung angerechnet werden, sofern die Aufgaben des Lernpfades vollständig absolviert werden.

Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
Für DKA-Studierende im Hauptstudium, die DKA-AT2 oder DKA-NT2 sowie möglichst das Aufbaumodul DKA-SY2 besucht haben (im Ausnahmefall auch gleichzeitiger Besuch eines exegetischen oder systematisch-theologischen Teilmoduls)

Inhalt
Aufbauend auf den im homiletischen Proseminar erworbenen Kenntnissen und Fertigkeiten werden in den ersten Sitzungen Schritte zur eigenen Predigt vorgestellt und eingeübt (Erstbegegnungen mit dem Predigttext, exegetische Überlegungen, systematisch-theologische Überlegungen sowie Impulse aus Alltag und Kultur). Im Mittelpunkt des Seminars steht dann das Verfassen und Halten einer eigenen Predigt in der Universitätskirche mit einem anschließenden konstruktiven Feedback der Gruppe.

Für DKA-Studierende in der Examensphase oder am Ende des Hauptstudiums.

Inhalt
Da in den meisten Landeskirchen in der Praktischen Theologie keine Examensklausur geschrieben, stellt sich in diesem Fach in besonderer Weise die Frage, wie man sich sinnvoll auf die mündliche Prüfung vorbereitet und welche Inhalte ihre Grundlage bilden. In der Übung werden auf der Grundlage des Lehrbuches „Praktische Theologie“ (siehe die Literaturempfehlung) grundlegende Inhalte des Faches gemeinsam erarbeitet. Anhand möglicher oder bereits gewählter Spezialthemen erfolgen exemplarische Vertiefungen und Unterstützung für die Prüfungsvorbereitung einschließlich Prüfungssimulationen.

Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches
Für diese Übung sei ausdrücklich eine „Triggerwarnung“ ausgesprochen: Bitte prüfen Sie vor Ihrer Anmeldung, ob Sie es voraussichtlich gut aushalten werden, sich mit diesem psychisch herausfordernden und belastenden Thema zu befassen, und ob eine universitäre Veranstaltung, in der die wissenschaftliche Reflexion im Vordergrund stehen wird, dafür ein guter Ort für Sie ist.
Die Teilnehmendenzahl ist auf 25 begrenzt.

Inhalt
Dass sexuelle Gewalt auch in der evangelischen Kirche ein erschreckendes Ausmaß hat, ist bereits in den letzten Jahren deutlich geworden. In der kürzlich erschienenen ForuM-Studie wird erst recht deutlich, dass sich sexuelle Gewalt keineswegs auf Einzelfälle reduzieren lässt, sondern tiefgreifende strukturelle Ursachen hat, mit denen sich Kirche und Praktische Theologie auseinandersetzen müssen. Dazu möchte diese Übung einen Beitrag leisten. Wir werden uns sowohl mit der ForuM-Studie als auch mit der bisher zu dem Thema erschienenen Literatur befassen und in den Dialog mit Menschen an entsprechenden kirchlichen Stellen treten. Abschließend sollen auch Perspektiven entwickelt werden, wie mit diesem Thema in Predigt und Unterricht umgegangen werden kann.

Die praktisch-theologische Sozietät bietet die Möglichkeit, laufende Promotions- und Habilitationsvorhaben vorzustellen und zu diskutieren, und verbindet dies mit der Diskussion grundlegender praktisch-theologischer Literatur
