Julia Gehringer works as an editor and social media manager at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel. She studied Crossmedia Journalism and Public Relations at Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart and graduated in 2024 with a Master's degree in Applied Communication Science at Fachhochschule Kiel University of Applied Sciences. During her studies she focused on science communication from a communication science perspective. She has also worked at a PR agency in Hamburg and at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA in Stuttgart.
