Research Interest
Currently as part of the MOBi Bergauer Lab, I am working on extracting metabolites from filtered seawater and the analysis of particle depth distribution data collected by an Underwater Vision Profiler 6 from the Northern Atlantic.
I completed my master’s thesis as part of the OEB Worden Lab, where I established, optimized and further developed for stable genome editing of the marine prasinophyte Micromonas. Specifically, I employed electroporation techniques to deliver foreign DNA into the cell of Micromonas to to facilitate transgene expression from plasmids, ultimately achieving integrated genome editing via CRISPR/Cas9.
