  • Pacific Decadal variability/ENSO
  • Southern Ocean dynamics
  • Numerical modelling with coupled and ocean-only models
  • Climate variability on seasonal to multi-decadal time scales
  • Interaction between physics and ocean biogeochemistry in upwelling regions
