High-ranked delegation of marine scientists at GEOMAR
May 18, 2015/Kiel. A high ranked delegation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the most prestigious research organization in China visited GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel. Under the leadership of the vize president of the CAS, Prof. Dr. YIN Hejun, the scientists from different research institutions received information about recent developments at GEOMAR, in particular in the field of hydroaccoustics, electromagnetics and robot technology and their applications in research on marine resources, sea floor mapping and marine natural hazards. In addition, the Chinese guests provided an overview about their research institutes with major topics on the technology development in the field of deep sea research.
The visit concluded with a concourse through the Technology and Logistic centre.
