Ocean Observations in the Atlantic
Video about EU-Project AtlantOS available
18 April 2018/Kiel. The EU Horizon 2020 project AtlantOS, which is coordinated by GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, just finalized a video to explain the value of integrated Atlantic Ocean Observing for societal benefit.
AtlantOS aims to improve ocean observing by strengthening international collaboration, sharing of ocean observing and by promoting engagement and innovation. The vision is to create together with the ocean community a coordinated, efficient, sustainable and purposeful system. The legacy of AtlantOS will be a BluePrint for Atlantic Ocean Observing, an implementation plan beyond the EU funding period, which is under development with the wider international Atlantic ocean observing community.
