July 09, 2015: "Life in the Plastisphere: Global impacts of microbial interactions on marine plastic waste"

Public evening talk given by Prof. Erik Zettler, Sea Education Association, Woods Hole, USA, in the lecture series "Ocean Interfaces - From nanoscales to global impact"

5 pm, Lecture Hall, GEOMAR, Düsternbrooker Weg 20, 24105 Kiel

We know that plastic in the oceans is a problem for fish, turtles, birds and
many more. But processes taking place in the communities living on the
millions of tiny plastic particles and their global consequences are mainly
unknown.
