Farewell RV POSEIDON

A short farewell video with nice impressions of this beautiful research vessel. Kiel Ocean Research says goodbye to the old lady. More than four decades in the service of ocean research: whether the North and Baltic Sea, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, the Red Sea or the Atlantic Ocean. From the polar regions to South Africa - RV POSEIDON has been on more than 500 expeditions in all these sea areas and has helped countless scientists to answer their research questions. These were also widely spread: whether marine biology, geology, geophysics, oceanography or meteorology, all disciplines used the RV POSEIDON as a research platform. Many younger scientists gained their first experience of leading expeditions onboard this ship.
