This workshop provides a brief introduction into the thermodynamic modelling software  THERIAK/DOMINO. In a first lecture, I will explain the fundamental algorithm and  the input/output structure of the software. A series of examples will illustrate the capacity of the software in the second lecture. In two practical labs, the participants will learn how to perform a few applications of the code themselves (Calculation of stable assemblages for given P,T, and composition; PT-equilibrium assemblage diagrams; calculation of isopleths; Binary and Ternary diagrams; pixelmaps; assemblage evolution during a PT-path assuming refractory phases).
