Plankton Reconstruction and Classification
Measuring and monitoring the abundance of key plankton species at certain spots in the ocean, or in coastal waters, can help to assess health and status of ecosystems. Imaging and visual computing are key technologies for classifying and counting. In the project TechOceanS we are extracting 3D plankton models from photographs to support this process.
