Update May 18th, 2020

The complete report on the results of the GEOS survey (sorry, only in German) can now be found here.

First results of the online employee survey

GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel is a world-wide leading institute of Marine Sciences. This requires highly qualified and motivated employees in the scientific, technical, and administrative areas including opportunities for professional Training & Career Development according to the needs of all employees.

Furthermore, GEOMAR aims to promote a healthy work-life-balance for all employees. This is a basic requirement for equal opportunity and for successful Training & Career Development. There are still many challenges regarding work & family life, especially while participating at sea or land-going expeditions.

Thus, the GEOMAR Women’s Executive Board, the Equal Opportunities Office, and the Staff Council invite all employees to take part in the GEOMAR Employee Online Survey – GEOS 2019.

The GEOS 2019 aims to identify the status quoand future needs with regards to:

□        professional Training & Career Development, e.g. advanced trainings, seminars/courses, conferences etc., and

□        Reconciliation of work and family life, e.g. home office, family offices, day care etc.
