Our Values: Knowledge and Technology Transfer

As a key element of its strategy, GEOMAR engages in transfer of knowledge and technology to provide research-based solutions and innovations to address societal and industrial challenges. Transfer activities focus on major aspects of GEOMAR research and use suitable formats for selected target audiences, including co-design approaches. This is supported by internal structures, capacity building, professionalisation and incentives, and monitored and documented carefully.

• Integration of Transfer (KT and TT) into GEOMAR’s scientific strategy
• Foster mutual capacity development of early career scientists and technicians independent of project initiatives to support their development within the framework of the ocean decade
