Our Strenght: Data Science

Data-driven Science is becoming a focus of GEOMAR research, adding novel computational and visual capabilities for a holistic understanding of all ocean-related compartments in space and time across all scales. All research units at GEOMAR engage in this effort: Data Science methods are applied in their work and increasingly considered in project applications. Expert groups for data science education are established, and MarDATA aims to be established as a long-term research school.
