Research Funding and Transfer at GEOMAR

The Research Support and Transfer Division supports scientists in acquiring third-party funding and promotes the transfer of research results to industry and society.

Acquiring third-party funding and conducting third-party funded projects to implement research ideas is part of the daily scientific work and is actively supported by the research funding team.

Knowledge and technology transfer is an integral part of the GEOMAR 2030 strategy. The aim is to ensure that scientific discoveries contribute to economic development, environmental protection and social well-being. This includes promoting collaboration with industry, policymakers and the public to drive innovation, support sustainable resource management and address global environmental challenges.
