11.11.2022: Marine Carbon Sinks @GEOMAR Day

The Marine Carbon Sinks @GEOMAR Day gives you the opportunity to profit from the vast expertise at GEOMAR, to learn from each other and make new connections within the institute.

SAVE THE DATE: 11th of November 9:30 - 14:30
LOCATION: GEOMAR, Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel, East Shore

Description:
Are you working on carbon sinks in the ocean? Quite possibly the person standing next to you in the elevator does, too! Have you ever asked? This is your chance!
At GEOMAR we have a vast expertise concerning marine carbon sinks spanning eras from paleo over historical records, to future scenarios. Furthermore, we have experts for marine observations, ecosystem and Earth system modelers that look at both biogeochemical and physical processes of the marine carbon sink.
On the Marine Carbon Sinks Science Exchange we want to give you the opportunity to profit from the vast expertise at GEOMAR, to learn from each other and make new connections within the institute. Maybe the expert you are looking for for your next collaboration is just up a flight of stairs.

WHAT: Participants are invited to bring their research posters. Every full hour there will be short pitches by the poster presenters to give short insights and initiate discussions.
At the end of the day, we will vote on the best three posters, and winning might pay off ;)
Coffee & Lunch will be provided.

Join us for a fun exchange, to find you new collaboration partners and to bring life to the Marine Carbon Sinks @GEOMAR.
