MARIA S. MERIAN MSM129/1

The scientific programme of cruise MSM129/1 "DAM Underway Research Data" focuses on the data management of sensor data, obtained during the transit of the vessel. Permanently installed devices, like the thermosalinograph, the fluorometer, the vessel-mounted ADCPs, and the multibeam echosounders are turned on wherever permitted and collect data. Additionally, a ferrybox, an underway-CTD and a Moving Vessel Profiler will be used during the transit. A few CTD stations will be carried out as well. Data from all these devices shall be transmitted to land within hours and afterwards shared with the international community. Watersamples will be taken for purpose of calibration of some devices.
