- Der Kurs konzentriert sich auf die Beziehung zwischen Menschen und Tieren, insbesondere Rindern, und darauf, wie die Tierhaltung die soziale Struktur und den neolithischen Lebensstil veränderte. Die primäre und sekundäre Nutzung von Tieren und die Tierproduktion führten im Neolithikum auf vielfältige Weise zu unterschiedlichen häuslichen und rituellen Gewohnheiten und sozialen Praktiken. Wir werden uns den Status der Tiere genauer ansehen, einschließlich ihrer Rolle als Träger von Reichtum, die eine mögliche Grundlage für eine entstehende soziale Ungleichheit bildet.

- Der Kurs konzentriert sich auf die Rekonstruktion von Bestattungsvorgängen in prähistorischen Gräberfeldern. Die Studierenden werden jeweils eine Datenbank zu kleineren Gräberfeldern erstellen aus dem Kontext des prähistorischen Europas (insbesondere zwischen dem 7. und 3. Jahrtausend v. Chr.) und diese mit der sogenannten Korrespondenzanalyse analysieren und interpretieren.

- The course will be in German and English. The Übung is particularly useful for students working on their BA or MA Thesis. The main focus will be on the lithic artefacts' graphic illustration, e.g. what kind of symbols are used by the different lithic schools and scholars (French, German and American). The student will learn how is possible to give a good image of the lithic raw material, how is possible to prepare a graphic table and what illustration programs are useful for it. The Übung starts an introduction about the approaches and methods and the vast majority is practice when the students can work on their tables with supervision.

- Inhalt
- The course (Übung) is the second part of the previous museological course (Museology. Theory and practice of curating 1). We will build up the tasks during the semester on the Neolithic narratives of the Vráble project, and use the museological experiences from the small Danish excursion. Those students who were not part of the previous course or the excursion could also join the course. During the course, the students can learn about the curating activity, how to write an exhibition scenario, the principles of choosing the presented objects, and how to use the internal spaces in the museum and other exhibiting areas. The main outcome of the course will be the finalised exhibition scenario, which can be a basis for a later real Vráble exhibition. We highly welcome those students who feel creativity and inner motivation to create some cultural dissemination for the public.
