Inhalt
Module content:

The lecture first introduces the terms and basics of international business and sustainability management in international contexts. We deal with market entry and market development strategies and the structures of global supply chains using examples from (Chinese) business practice. We discuss the Chinese business context in its political, financial, labor market and cultural components. We engage with sustainability instruments for international business, particularly in the context of global supply chains.

The lecture is supported by a tutorial. We will apply contents of the lecture to case studies from international business and read academic articles underlying theory from the lecture.

  • Insights into the research area of international business studies
  • Applying international business theory to current issues in practice
  • Increasing sensitivity to the role of multinational enterprises in the context of international business for sustainable development
