The idea is that the course will be done mainly in offline mode. There is no intention to provide a parallel online track. The exam will be performed in a written form.
Inhalt
The aim of the course is to learn the theoretical and practical aspects of electrochemistry in order to understand, analyze and solve problems related to electrochemical processes and relevant materials. The course provides an introduction to the basics of electrochemistry including thermodynamics and kinetics of electrochemical processes. The main of the part of the course is dedicated to number of fields and applications where electrochemistry plays an essential role. The students should get knowledge on the applications of electrochemistry in the fields of corrosion of materials, batteries, electrochemical sensors, electrolytic processes (electrochemical water splitting and CO2 capture) and electrochemical aspects of bio-materials.
The students should also gain basic abilities in experimental methods in electrochemistry and in calculations on electrochemical systems.
